When working the crop on the ground is collected by a pick-up and through a feeder roller transported into the starter chamber. Long crop may, if required, be cut into uniform lengths by a cutting system (OPTICUT-cutting system) prior to transportation into the starter chamber. A belt system provides rotational movement and thus rolls the bale into shape.
